About Me
I've been working with computers since I was 9 years old. In 1979 my
dad brought home an Apple II plus and I was hooked. At first I would
just watch my dad. I remember this physical feeling of exploring as if
each new screen of text was a new land, and we were wandering deeper and
deeper into new territory. By the time I was in Junior High I was
writing my own little games in 6502 assembly and collaborating on
homework with a friend over a 300 baud modem.
I've been working at Xilinx since
1996. Currently I'm in the Xilinx Research Labs. Previously I worked on
the JBits API and
before that helped found the support.xilinx.com website. Before
Xilinx I worked at Lindamood Bell Learning
Processes for 5 years doing multi-media software development while I
was going to school. I got my BS in Computer Engineering from Cal Poly
San Luis Obispo.
Currently I live in Santa Clara California with my wife Tanya, our two
sons, Ryan and Josh, and our dog Lucy.
